Antique photographs -- New Collection!

I've been wanting to collect something with art and photography lately but wasn't quite sure what that would be. I love anything vintage and antique. I was thinking about collecting vintage cameras, but to be honest I feel like it's so common (and expensive!) and what am I going to do with a bunch of old cameras that don't work anymore? Vintage cameras are fun and all but what do I love more then the antique cameras? The photographs! I'm always intrigued by old photographs of places and even people. There is so many untold stories and history behind them! Today I realized that's what I wanted to collect when Ronnie had the idea to stop by a few antique shops in Shelburne that I've been wanting to go see. The goal was to hunt for vintage buttons for my crafts since my vintage button supply is running low. Instead I came home with old photographs.

I first spotted a photograph of Zion in Utah (Anything Zion I go nuts over since it was part of my home growing up) This stereoview was taken in the early 1900's and titled "The Temple of Zion from the West Rim Trail"

The other two photos are little photographs of silly puppies because who wouldn't smile at these?
I was super excited when I turned over this photograph and someone had written on it! "Rex taken in the summer of 1939"

This puppy is a little out of focus but it makes me think that maybe a child was taking this photo.
There as no writing or date on this photograph but I image it was around the same time frame as the other photograph.

I'm really excited about my new collection and to learn new things from it! I think all of the photos I collect I want some kind of human or creature presence in them and not just old portraits. Halloween is also around the corner and finding a few old creepy photographs would be so fun!

Who also has a collection that brings them creative inspiration?

Enjoy your days!
