It is twelve more days until Christmas! Isn't that exciting?
Each day until then I want to share with you something creative I have made and/or discuss inspirations for the holiday season.
I hope you all have had a grand time decking the halls around your home....I know I have! I have been a busy bee with all of our Christmas décor! Here is a polaroid I just took of our tree today. We are in the processes of making our own ornaments which we glazed this morning and should be on the tree by Wednesday!
The first craft I would like to show you is my Vintage inspired Christmas wreath! I have created a tutorial on YouTube and already shared this on my facebook page but would love to discuss it more in depth and share some other ideas for you! My biggest thing to focus on for my holiday crafting is inexpensive! You don't need to spend a lot of money to create beautiful projects or to enjoy Christmas. Goodwill and the dollar tree are actually your friend!
First off, I got this really rad vintage crafting book from Goodwill for a BUCK. ONE BUCK. I thought some of the photographs were so neat to make a banner out of! Also, there's actually some good crafting ideas in it! Recipes too if you enjoy cooking or baking.
What I did with the banner was punch our little circles with photographs from the book with a 1 inch circle punch. I took the most festive images I could find. I then took a small sheet of scrapbook paper to create the little banner pieces, really easy to do! Just cut a rectangle and then a triangle out of the bottom.
What I did the base of the wreath was reuse the one I've had since spring! I tore off the decorations I had for the fall and replaced it with things I found at the dollar tree that were quite classy! I also kept vintage buttons right where they were from fall. The ribbon is left over from what we did not use on our tree. This is something I purchased during black Friday from Michaels and it's so beautiful!
Check our my entire video here!
I hope you all find inspiration for your wreaths! I'd love to see what fun you whipped up, too!
Until next time!
